Lions of the Skeleton Coast
The Siraya prairie in southwest Taiwan, home to the endangered Taiwan Grass Owl. Fewer than 500 of these elusive night hunters remain. A team of conservationists are trying to save them. But first, they need to understand them; and their biggest challenge is to find them. Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation expert Zeng Yi-Shou might be able to help. If Zeng can fit GPS transmitters to rescued grass owls, the team can learn where the owls go. Can Zeng and the veterinary team get an injured owl back into the air? And if they do, will it be enough to unlock the secret movements of the Taiwan Grass Owl?
